Xavier Keutgen, MD
Dr. Keutgen is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of the Neuroendocrine Tumor Program at Rush University Medical Center.
He graduated from the University of Heidelberg Medical School in 2005 and spent 7 years at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center as a general surgery resident and surgical oncology research fellow. Subsequently he completed a hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery fellowship at the University of Zurich and an endocrine oncology and endocrine surgery fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NIH).
Dr. Keutgen’s clinical and research focus comprises endocrine neoplasms, including parathyroid and adrenal diseases, adrenocortical cancer, thyroid cancer as well as gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors with a special focus on liver metastases.
He is a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the American Thyroid Association and the American Association for Cancer Research.
