Anthony Heaney, MD, PhD
Dr. Heaney is an Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
His clinical and research efforts focus on the pathogenesis of pituitary tumors and developing novel treatments for pituitary tumors and other neuroendocrine tumors.
He serves as a member of many professional organizations, actively publishes his research in peer-reviewed journals, and lends his skills as a reviewer to publications such as the Journal of Clinical Investigation and Cancer Research, among others.
Dr. Heaney earned his medical degree and his doctorate from Queen's University of Belfast in Ireland. His residency and fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism were completed at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. In addition, Dr. Heaney is a Fulbright scholar and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom.
