Dr. Wouter W. de Herder is consultant-endocrinologist at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. His major research interests are neuroendocrine and adrenal tumors/Cushings syndrome. Dr. de Herder received his MD in 1985 and his PhD in 1990 from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He is member of several international and Dutch national societies, such as Dutch society for Endocrinology (NVE), Endocrine Society (USA), Society for Endocrinology (UK), Pituitary Society (USA), European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), European Neuroendocrine Association (ENEA) and president of ENETS (European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society). Dr de Herder has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and is a reviewer for many international journals. He is member of the editorial board of Neuroendocrinology and Endocrine-related Cancer. He has given several presentations at Dutch national and international meetings.
