TEACHING ACTIVITIES:
Teaching responsibilities within the Gastrointestinal Division of the Department of Medicine throughout the entire existence of this division have included: Ward rounds with bedside teaching, consultations, endoscopy supervision and teaching fellows from the inception of that technique until eight years ago, 18 years of service on GI bleeding team, supervision and teaching in GI clinic, periodically conducting GI grand rounds and various seminars as well as participating in conferences, grand rounds and teaching courses in other departments (Surgery, Dermatology, Neurology, Hematology, Oncology, Pediatrics, and Medicine). For the past three years, I have participated in the formal training curriculum for the Hematology/Oncology Fellows as a recognized expert in neuroendocrine tumors.
