Guido Rindi, M.D., Ph.D.
Guido Rindi, M.D., Ph.D. received his M.D. in 1982 from the University of Pavia, Italy, where he completed his Surgical Pathology residency in 1986. Wellcome Trust Fellow at the Histochemistry Unit of the Royal Postgraduate Medical School of the University of London, UK, Dr. Rindi was awarded the Diploma of Endocrinology (Pathology) in 1987 and received his Ph.D. in 1992 at same institution. In 1992-1994 Dr. Rindi was Fogarty Research Fellow of the GI Division of Tufts University School of Medicine at the New England Medical Centre Hospitals, Boston, USA. In 1994-1998 Dr.Rindi served as Lecturer in Pathology at the University of Pavia, Italy, and from 1998 to 2001 as Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Brescia, Italy. Dr. Rindi is currently chair of Pathology at the University of Parma, Italy.
His major research interests are gastrointestinal pathology, endocrine pathology, pulmonary pathology and genetic manipulation for gastrointestinal endocrine disease modelling.
Dr Rindi is member of the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Network Society, the European Society of Pathology, the European Neuropeptide Club and the Endocrine Pathology Society. He is member of the Editorial Boards of Neuroendocrinology , Virchows Archiv , Pathologica , The European Journal of Histochemistry , Digestion (years 2000-2003) and is reviewer for several scientific journals. Dr Rindi has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters.
